I often focused too much energy on changing others. After being disappointed by the actions of others, I realized it's not my responsibility to change others. Instead, I realize my calling as an ambassador for Christ is to be the salt and light in the Earth according to Matthew 5:13-16. My time is better spent building authentic relationships with others while sharing the highs and lows of my journey in order to help them cross over the challenging bridges of life. At this season of my life, I have learned to accept people for who they are at this particular season of their life. According to Dictionary.com, light is defined as, "the natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible"( Dictionary.com, 2021). Whenever you see a light, it doesn't scream, "I'm the light!" Instead, it just exist. As the founder and president of I Am Chosen Ministries, it's my sincere hope we can assist adolescent girls and women through the storms of life while helping them discover their purpose and passion. We will all have storms in life. Don't allow the different seasons of life to stop you from chasing your dreams. Instead, learn how to embrace every season while still pursuing your God-given purpose in life.
